CONTENT

At the start of each year, right after Christmas vacation, the academy organizes a 3-4 days long workshop for all the academy students.

The issues addressed during the workshop vary from:

A workshop that supports the graduation studio students;

A workshop that is organized by “fresh” alumni and expands the knowledge gained in their graduation project;

A workshop that addresses a contemporary architectural/urban design issue.

Students work on an assignment in groups.

RESULTS

The products presented are defined accordingly to the topic of the workshop – yet to be defined. This includes a short verbal presentation of the research and various results (drawing, models etc.) according to the specific topic – yet to be defined

 

 

EXAMINATION

Verbal presentation of achieved results _ 1end term presentation. if possible with a guest critique.

 

 

OBJECTIVES

• Obtaining insight in national and international developments within the professional field.

• Obtaining insight in social and economical developments and their possible influence on architecture.

• Insight in the architect’s roll.

• Dealing with contemporary issues concerning architectural and urban design.

• Collaboration with students from other years of the academy

• Obtaining knowledge and insight in the work of the graduation studio..
