CONTENT

In the year-end evaluation, students present a representative selection of the work that has been made over the past year, and they give a written and oral presentation of their work. In addition, students point out which plans and expectations they have for the coming year(s). This presentation will be evaluated by teachers and external experts. During the academic year students build a portfolio. The portfolio is an essential means to gain the insight, knowledge and skills that the student has acquired. A portfolio is a collection of designs, exercises and examinations, which adequately gives an impression of the nature and quality of the work of the student. Putting together the year-end portfolio requires an inventory, selection and arrangement - a short editing - of different work pieces, which are produced, causing a penetrating presentation Characteristics of a portfolio are:

• Design projects are displayed in an orderly manner, such as definition of the design problem, method of investigation and design solution

• The size of each project is limited and manageable;

• Each design is briefly explained mentioned, besides name student, study and teachers: figures, own problem definition, research and concept and an explanation of the materialisation of this in the design;

• Adequate information about the project is given through floor plans, elevations and sections, this in relation to: Presentation drawings, which illustrate the design or give insight into the problem. This may include collages,sketches, perspective drawings, photographs, for example model, et cetera.
